Easter People in a Good
Friday World
Weekly Lent Discussion Groups.
The churches in Ruthin are taking part in a weekly Lent discussion group
organised by Cytûn Rhuthun. We are following the Council of Churches for
Britain and Ireland course. Booklets are available at £3.99
“Easter People in a Good Friday World” invites us to name and confront
violence in its many forms. It leads us on a dark and downward journey
through fear, betrayal, retaliation, victimization, humiliation, isolation
and denial – each step with Jesus to his death. It is the story of human
rejection of God’s way. The study ends there, but the story doesn’t.
The course will be in five sessions and will meet at St.Peter’s Parish Room,
Ruthin on Wednesdays at 7 pm. and the discussions will be in English.
