Sunday Worship at St Elidan

This church, in a remote location, dates from the 15th century, and is dedicated to a little known Celtic saint. Some fragments of medieval glass remain.

There is a Jacobean pulpit with interesting carvings, and a portrait of a local Roman Catholic martyr, Edward Jones.


VESTRY HOUSE AT LLANFAIR D.C.

The Vestry House is suitable for a variety of uses:

  • Formal meetings for up to 30 people

  • Informal meetings for up to 50 people

Hire of the Vestry House includes:

  • Two smaller rooms and kitchen on the ground floor

  • Large meeting room on the first floor.

  • HIRE CHARGES

    £15 per session: morning, afternoon or evening.

    CONDITIONS OF HIRE

    All hirers will be responsible for any damage occurring during the use of the Vestry House. Any use of the Vestry House is by private arrangement with the hirer and is to be avaialble to the general public. All hire fees will be paid on or before the day of hire. Vestry House Management Committee reserves the right to cancel or alter any booking.

    From Ruthin, take the A494 Bala road, After two miles you will come to the village of Pwllglas. Continue on the A494 for about another three miles then turn left following the signpost Llanelidan. After about two miles you arrive at Llanelidan village. Turn left and the church is on your right.

    There is a bus service from Ruthin to Llanelidan but it is not frequent. Details of bus times can be found on the Traveline Cymru website.
